Proclaiming the truth and advocating for nationwide spiritual revival
Justus and Jemimah are Kenyan missionaries to the United States of America, based in Toledo, Ohio, and are the founders of God Speaks to America. They each got saved in 1971 during their third years of high school. US missionaries later prepared each of them for the Christian ministry.
Married in December of 1976, they have been blessed with seven children by birth and marriage, and nine grandchildren, all of whom live in Kenya.
After serving the Lord in their country for over thirty years and founding Eternal Life Church International, Kenya, in 1999, the Lord called them to move to the USA in 2007 to serve Him here. When they arrived in America, the Lord laid in their hearts a heavy burden for this nation’s spiritual revival and gave them an urgent message of national spiritual revival for the church in America.
Justus attended Winebrenner Theological Seminary, Findlay, Ohio, USA, and The University of Toledo, Toledo, Ohio, USA. Jemimah attended Winebrenner Theological Seminary, Findlay, Ohio. USA.
We envision a spiritually revived America in which God’s Kingdom will be paramount in the lives of most Americans; in which biblical and Christian tenets and principles will prevail in all aspects of American society; and in which all races and ethnic communities will be able to peacefully coexist and uphold appreciation and respect for all persons.
We envision an America that will truly be “one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all” and an America whose people will truly believe they are a “heav’n rescued land,” praising “the power that hath made and preserved” them a nation; and an America whose motto will truly be, “in God is our trust.”
During these days of spiritual uncertainty, as America’s rich Judeo-Christian heritage continues to diminish; as emerging generations in America are uninformed about the Kingdom of God; and as increasing numbers of non-regenerate and irreligious people clearly threaten to de-Christianize the United States of America, God Speaks to America deeply believes the need and urgency have clearly intensified for the church in America to make a national call to prayer and repentance.
Our mission is to promote the Lordship of our Lord Jesus Christ and salvation from sin and spiritual death through faith in his name, by using every effective and acceptable means available.
We seek to pray for, proclaim, and advocate for national spiritual revival in the United States of America, as well as encourage the church in America to do the same.
Finally, our mission is to promote biblical righteousness, justice, and peace, by living according to the teaching of Scripture and encouraging others to do the same.
STATEMENT OF FAITH
1) We believe the Bible is divinely inspired, and it is the only infallible, authoritative Word of God revealing God and his love to the world (1 Thess. 2:13; 2 Tim. 3:15-17; John 3:16).
2) We believe that there is one God, who is eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matt. 28:19; John 10:30; Eph. 4:4-6).
3) We believe in the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood on the cross, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory (Matt. 1:23; John 1:1-4 and 1:29; Acts 1:11 and 2:22-24; Rom. 8:34; 1 Cor. 15:3-4; 2 Cor. 5:21; Phil. 2:5-11; Heb. 1:1-4 and 4:15).
4) We believe that all men everywhere are lost and face the judgment of God, that Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation, and that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, repentance of sin and faith in Jesus Christ result in regeneration by the Holy Spirit. We further believe that God will reward the righteous with eternal life in heaven, and that He will banish the unrighteous to everlasting punishment in hell (Luke 24:46-47; John 14:6; Acts 4:12; Rom. 3:23; 2 Cor. 5:10-11; Eph. 1:7 and 2:8-9; Tit. 3:4-7).
5) We believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit, whose indwelling and power enables the Christian to live a godly life (John 3:5-8; Acts 1:8, 4:31; Rom. 8:9; 1 Cor. 2:14; Gal. 5:16-18; Eph. 6:12; Col. 2:6-10).
6) We believe in the actual bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost in new heavenly bodies; the saved unto the resurrection of eternal life and the lost unto the resurrection of damnation and eternal punishment (1 Cor. 15:51-57; Rev. 20:11-15).
7) We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ and that all true believers are members of His body, the Church, which physically manifests itself through Christ-centered assemblies (1 Cor. 12:12, 27; Eph. 1:22-23; Heb. 10:26).
8) We believe God’s plan for human sexuality is to be expressed only within the context of marriage, that God created man and woman as unique biological persons made to complete each other. God instituted monogamous marriage between male and female as the foundation of the family and the basic structure of human society. For this reason, we believe that marriage is exclusively the union of one genetic male and one genetic female (Gen. 2:24; Matt. 19:5-6; Mark 10:6-9; Rom. 1:26-27; 1 Cor. 6:9).
9) We believe that we must dedicate ourselves to the lordship of Jesus Christ, to prayer, to the service of our Lord, to His authority over our lives, and to the ministry of evangelism (Matt. 9:35-38; 22:37-39, and 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; Rom. 10:9-15 and 12:20-21; Gal. 6:10; Col. 2:6-10; 1 Pet. 3:15).
10) We believe that human life is sacred from conception to its natural end; and that we must have concern for the physical and spiritual needs of our fellowmen (Psalm 139:13; Is. 49:1; Jer. 1:5; Matt. 22:37-39; Rom. 12:20-21; Gal. 6:10).

“There is a new generation in America that does not know the Lord!”
Spiritual trends in America today vividly point us to some two biblical passages. In Exodus 1:6-10, a new king arose in Egypt who did not know Joseph and Israel who had been loved and favored by the previous kings. The new king and his people made the jews slaves and cruelly persecuted them. Again, in Judges 2:7-12, a new generation of Israelites arose after the death of Joshua, who did not know the Lord nor the mighty deeds he had done for Israel. The new generation followed the gods of the people of the land instead of following Jehovah, the God of Israel, who had delivered them from their bondage in Egypt. These biblical occurrences demonstrated what always happens when one generation fails to pass their values to the next generation, which is exactly what appears to be happening in the United States of America today. New generations are coming up in America who do not embrace the spiritual values of previous generations. People in this country have historically embraced biblical and Christian values, but the new generations have departed from that tradition. Of course, there remains some credible evidences of spiritual strength in America, such as strong congregations, vibrant ministries, outstanding Bible seminaries, and some encouraging statistics about Christianity in the United States from time to time. This spiritual strength, however, is not increasing but decreasing! Moreover, the systems that are meant to transmit the faith and values of today’s believers to upcoming generations are systematically crumbling in American society, as has been the case in other western societies.
High divorce rates, non-traditional family structures, challenges in sexual identity, and marriage practices that are inconsistent with the traditional norms, have effectively limited the family’s role in shaping the values of emerging generations in America. The educational curriculums of many American institutions do not have space for God, the Bible, and Christianity, and are advancing worldly and anti-God philosophies. Many church bodies in America have become plainly irreligious, some of them actually treading on borderline apostasy, after adopting biblically erroneous teachings. Much of today’s American media has increasingly reflected secular and progressive agendas that challenge traditional Christian values, often framing religious symbols and teachings as outdated or divisive. This shift has been evident in coverage that sidelines biblical references, downplays religious traditions, and prioritizes secular narratives over faith-based perspectives. Such trends, among others, are the spiritual pitfalls contributing to the sky-rocketing decline of America’s Judeo-Christian history. This should worry the American church because, unless these trend change, there will no longer be any means of transmitting Christianity to upcoming American generations. When children grow up under such conditions, they lack faith in God, his Word, and Christian values. Without the traditional faith and values of their parents, these upcoming generations become time bombs that soon explode into huge fireballs of rebellion against their parents and society. And once the new generations outnumber the older generations, their faithlessness and misguided values become the culture of the land. This is how a Christian nation becomes a heathen nation. May this never happen to America, the homeland of our spiritual parents!
“The next revolution in America must be a spiritual revolution!”
Fellow saints in America, are you concerned about what America might look like, forty years from now? I am too. Unless current trends are reversed in due time, there is reasonable cause to be concerned about America’s spiritual future. To illustrate it, just think of a ship that is sinking one inch an hour. At that rate, the impact of the sinking will definitely be ignorable for quite a while, but certainly not indefinitely, as the actual danger gradually and eventually becomes evident with time! The American church, therefore, must not be duped or fooled by the presence of numerous mega churches, TV and other ministries, and theological seminaries, among others. The painful truth is that American Christianity has been consistently declining, and it will not be long before the ugly realities begin to be evident. But our God is sovereign and all powerful and with him nothing is impossible. Children of God in America, we can believe God for revival in this nation. Joshua 6:1-2 says: “Now Jericho was securely shut up because of the children of Israel; none went out, and none came in. And the Lord said to Joshua: “See! I have given Jericho into your hand, its king, and the mighty men of valor” (nkjv). Note that it was not necessary for the gates of Jericho to be open or the city’s walls to be weak, for God to assure Joshua and Israel that he had given the city to them! God is the Almighty God of all creation and does not need the conditions to be right before he can accomplish his will! Therefore, it is not necessary at all, for Americans to believe or cooperate with you regarding national revival! Sixteenth century Reformer, John Knox, once cried in prayer, Lord “give me Scotland or I die!” In the same manner, some believers in this lovely country just need to cry to the Living God, “O Lord God, please give me America or I will die!” You must petition the Almighty God for revival and salvation in America. The next revolution in the USA must be a spiritual revolution!
Beloved brethren, the Kingdom of God, which now reigns in our hearts and in our lives through the lordship of Christ, will ultimately prevail over all other kingdoms. The gates of hell anywhere, including America, have no power over the Kingdom of God. American society does not possess the power to conquer Christ’s church! By the grace of God, you will reverse all evil trends in your nation, win your people to the Kingdom of God, and turn America upside down, because God will be on your side. It is “not by might nor by power,” but by His Spirit. May you open your spiritual eyes and recognize your time of divine visitation. The spiritual fire in many American sanctuaries must spill out into the neighborhoods. Holy fire will always initiates the deliverance of souls! American churches must not celebrate within their walls while Americans die spiritually out in the streets! Declare a time of prayer and fasting. Declare night prayer vigils. Cry to God to pour his Spirit upon America for national spiritual hunger, thirst, and repentance. Pray for the sanctity of marriage, the family, and human life. Pray for the restoration of God’s word and Christian values in America’s educational curriculum. Pray for God’s protection and empowerment of his remnant in this land. Pray for love and unity among you, for God is not white, black or colored; nor is he a democrat, republican, or independent! God is the Living, Eternal, and Almighty God, the Maker of the universe, Author of life, Sovereign King, and the Ultimate Judge. Pray as the Spirit leads you. Receive the Holy Spirit and passion greater than was in your fellow Americans during the Revolution, Civil War, and Civil Rights Movements. Again, the next revolution in America must be a national spiritual revival. God bless America!
“God's church in America must cry to God for national spiritual revival!”
While the American Church has done and continues to do great work in foreign nations, helping and evangelizing many nations, the church must now also direct her focus back home. There is urgent need for the body of Christ in America to hold corporate prayer times, specifically for national spiritual revival in America. Three critical spiritual factors make it urgent for the church in America to call for corporate times of prayer for national spiritual revival. First, the escalating levels of ungodliness and sin in America today should be an obvious indicator of the church’s need to cry to God for national spiritual revival. Second, the rising numbers of non-religious and anti-God Americans, and the increasing speed with which traditional Christian values are being replaced by secularism, should serve as other clear alerts to the church in America. Finally, the growing difficulty of transmitting the Christian faith to upcoming American generations should deeply concern the church in America. Spiritual trends in today’s American society clearly indicate that the systems that have traditionally been used to pass Christian values from one generation to the next are quickly crumbling and becoming unreliable. While the family remains the core of society, it is now often characterized by single parents, high divorce rates, and non-traditional marital and parenting practices. The traditional role of families as centers for nurturing and teaching Christian values is therefore significantly declining. Education in America, on the other hand, is increasingly secularized and often excludes biblical and Christian perspectives. The resulting gap in spiritual guidance in America is now being filled by a media that is increasingly irreligious and anti-God. Consequently, many upcoming generations of Americans are now effectively insulated from the Christian faith. It is as if a new generation of Americans is coming up who do not know the Lord. All of these factors combined clearly signal that the future of Christianity in America is under siege. Unless something happens to reverse these trends, America will continue to drift away from her rich Judeo-Christian heritage and historical spiritual roots and eventually become a pagan nation. But there is hope! The God of all flesh, who has in the past visited many other nations with revival, is still on the throne. The Lord can visit the United States of America with a mighty move of his Spirit, if the church in America will call upon his name. The American church must wake up and face these spiritual challenges with a renewed sense of urgency and dependence on God. The church must believe God for a national spiritual revival that will turn the hearts of Americans back to Him. The next great movement in America must be a national spiritual revival!
“Now is the time to petition the Lord for passion for national spiritual revival.”
Throughout the history of the church, anyone who has been used of God to bring about revival, including the early church saints, has had Spirit-driven power and passion. Our Lord promised his church in Acts 1:8, “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” And on the day of Pentecost, the Spirit of God filled and empowered the early church, and by His passion and power, this community of believers “turned the world upside down” for the Kingdom of God (Acts 17:6). The Holy Spirit gave them, as He gives us today, unstoppable power and passion in their faith and witness of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The power of the Holy Spirit grants believers passion for persistence, zeal, boldness, and fearlessness. Passionate believers excel in the business of God’s Kingdom. Indeed passion is essential in any serious commitment, even in the secular world. Passionate spouses and parents have succeeded in their marriages and families. Passionate entrepreneurs have built great business empires. Passionate revolutionaries have conquered the world, freed their nations, and transformed their societies. If men and women, by their natural passion, can achieved so much, surely the passion of the Holy Spirit within us as God’s children will do untold exploits.
Through the power and passion of the Holy Spirit, the early Church believers devotedly witnessed Jesus Christ to their world, joyfully suffering arrests, beatings, stoning, and death, for his name. Throughout history, men and women filled and moved by the Holy Spirit have boldly testified of Jesus Christ and suffered all kinds of persecution and death for the sake of the Kingdom of God. Our Lord Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday, today, and forever, and each one of us today has got the capacity to do all these things by the power of the Holy Spirit. Spiritual triumph is “not by might nor by power,” but by the Spirit of the Lord (Zech. 4:1).
Besides, the spiritual forces of evil are so aggressively fighting to capture America. That is why the traditional Judeo-Christian America is disappearing! The difference between a Christian America and a pagan America now appears to be one generation away. Hence, some gigantic national spiritual transformation must take place in America before it is too late! In the absence of such a spiritual revolution, the United States of America may soon no longer be a Christian nation! The spiritual fate of millions of souls in the United States of America is at stake. Let us ask the Holy Spirit to clothe us ‘with power from on high” (Luke 24:49) to turn America upside down (Acts 17:6) for the Kingdom of God! Time is not on our side!
